UPII recently uncovered a scam in MGNREGA Firozabad through data analytics of the MGNREGA NMMS application. The analysis revealed fake worker attendance being recorded by Mate/Employees under various Gram Panchayats of Firozabad.
The findings were personally reported to the District Magistrate of Firozabad on March 5, 2025. Following this, several newspapers covered the story, highlighting the impact of data-driven transparency and accountability in governance.
